Interactive Functional Anatomy, is an innovative and interactive 3D resource for training, practice and teaching featuring a high resolution 3D gross anatomy model of the human body including all muscles and arteries. 3D animations and movies show the function of groups of agonist and antagonist muscles responsible for bone movement. Interactive functions allow you to choose different views, move and rotate the 3D models and add or remove layers of anatomy.

Contents include:

  • Muscle function in 3D. 3D animation of the action and appearance of agonist and antagonist muscles such as peroneus longus, extensor digitorum, semitendinosis and many more.
  • Agonist and antagonist text illustrated by more than 60 animations that clearly show the function of the muscles in 3D.
  • 80 live action surface anatomy and muscle action videos relate surface anatomy to the underlying structures during movement as well as views of origins and insertions which are linked into the text.
  • Gross Motor Movement section features a series of animations and live action showing groups of muscles active during common tasks and sports motions, such as throwing, walking and push ups. Some data is derived from motion capture sources.
