Software

The WIDS 7 software provides a consistent framework for design of course and program outlines, learning plans, syllabi, and assessment tasks. Your work is stored in a database and easily exported to "html" or to Microsoft Word. Think of it as a large filing cabinet, where you store learning outcomes, related assessments, occupational analyses, and program design information, such as competencies, performance standards, learning objectives, and learning activities. You no longer have to dig in multiple filing cabinets or folders. WIDS organizes the learning elements for you.

Aligned around a performance-based model, this helps you develop and organize curriculum. It provides a consistent framework for design of course outlines, learning plans, syllabi, and assessment tasks. Your work is stored in a database and easily exported to html or rich text files for web page or print generation.

Those who see our Learning Design Software for the first time can’t believe it—

  • A database with job aids that stores, retrieves, and prints curriculum/ training components.
  • Because it’s a database, you key in data only once.
  • Target Competencies, for example, show up in Learning and Lesson Plans. Standards are linked to Assessment Tasks.
  • Verb, Learning Activity, and Standard Libraries add value, as you can scroll and sort through them based on domain, level, learning style, state, etc.

Canned curriculum you say? Absolutely not.

  • The software provides a consistent framework for inputting Core Abilities, Competencies, Performance Standards, Assessments, Learning Activities, and more.
  • Report templates for Course Outlines, Syllabi, Checklists, and Learning/ Lesson plans are customizable, and you can add items to libraries.
