Chemistry Simulations

Snowbird Software specializes in simulations for teaching chemistry at the high school and junior college levels. We currently have five PC programs: Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Structure and Atomic Structure.

  • Inorganic Chemistry  Pricing

    inorgm.gif (1737 bytes)  inorgsr.gif (2181 bytes)
Students choose chemicals from a storeroom, take them to a bench and run their own  experiments using their choice of apparatus.

  • Physical Chemistry  Pricing

    physm.gif (1561 bytes)  physsr.gif (2126 bytes)
Here students have a choice of five types of apparatus. The experiments include  those that take up lots of time, e.g. titrations, and those that are difficult for  individuals to do such as gas laws and electrochemistry.

  • Organic Chemistry  Pricing

    orgm.gif (1430 bytes)  orgmo.gif (1678 bytes)
Students can choose a wide range of organic reactions and types of apparatus.  Products are shown as 3D diagrams and students can write formulas which the program  will name.

  • Molecular Structure  Pricing
This tool kit allows students to specify a molecule and then have the program work  out its bonding and shape.

  • Atomic Structure  Pricing
Students can write electron configurations, see atomic orbitals, and plot atomic  properties. The atomic orbitals can be mixed to show the shapes of the functions,  for example:
