A great visualization skill building tool!
The friendly CADKEY user interface helps students build those all important 3D visualization skills. The multiple viewport display option allows students to simultaneously view the top, front, side, and pictorial viewports while creating 3D geometry. The student can anchor one end of a rubber band line in the pictorial view, and then dynamically watch the anchor point jump to each different viewport simply by moving the cursor. This is a great alternative to carving models, or constructing cumbersome glass view-boxes to help students learn the basics of orthographic projection. The shaded 3D models can be dynamically rotated on the display, providing another valuable technique for building 3D visualization skills, and for exciting and motivating students.
