new interface
SURFCAM 2002 showcases a new, completely modern look and feel in its product line. This new software interface greatly speeds learning and decreases operation time.

pencil cut
Pencil cut machining cuts sharp or filleted surface intersection details on single or multiple surfaces using ball, bull, and end mills. Built-in intelligence optimizes the toolpath for fastest, most accurate cuts between surfaces. The operation can be further controlled by the angle threshold value that ignores intersection angles of less than the defined angle.

multiple-surface 5-axis machining
SURFCAM 2002 offers 4 and 5-axis single- and multiple-surface machining capability with lead, lag, and swarf (cutting with side of tool) cutting; full tool and shank gouge avoidance using ball, bull, and flat end mills; and drive surface/check surfaces with any number of check surfaces avoiding all other surrounding surfaces.

automatic trim/break
Automatic trimming will cut or keep, with a single mouse pick, a portion of the selected entity up to the first intersections found.

snap pointer
The snap pointer feature, with its snap-to-grid capability, automatically finds endpoints, center points, midpoints, intersections, perpendicular points, and much more. By
displaying images relative to the applicable snap mode, it becomes intuitive and
visually interactive.

 

direct DWG to DSN translator
SURFCAM 2002 includes a translator to import native AutoCAD DWG drawing formats. This supports all of the basic geometry types including text and dimensions.

SURFCAM verify
The all new SURFCAM Verify contains an integrated, hi-speed NC verification module, as well as a powerful CNC editor and DNC communicator functionality.
