SURFCAM 2002 showcases a new, completely modern look and feel in its product line. This new software interface greatly speeds learning and decreases operation time.

Pencil cut machining cuts sharp or filleted surface intersection details on single or multiple surfaces using ball, bull, and end mills. Built-in intelligence optimizes the toolpath for fastest, most accurate cuts between surfaces. The operation can be further controlled by the angle threshold value that ignores intersection angles of less than the defined angle.

SURFCAM 2002 offers 4 and 5-axis single- and multiple-surface machining capability with lead, lag, and swarf (cutting with side of tool) cutting; full tool and shank gouge avoidance using ball, bull, and flat end mills; and drive surface/check surfaces with any number of check surfaces avoiding all other surrounding surfaces.
